Quality workflow

Approve the proof.
Check against the specification.

Our custom enamel product quality workflow uses the approved artwork, proof and production specification as the reference from production through final packing. The checks change with the product instead of applying one generic checklist to every order.

Before production

Turn the approved design into a working specification.

The proof establishes the visible design and product layout. The production specification adds the construction details needed to make and inspect it, including finished dimensions, color or print direction, metal finish, attachment and packaging where applicable.

A pin may need post and clutch positions; a keychain needs its ring and connecting hardware; a magnet needs its magnetic attachment; medals and ornaments need the approved ribbon or hanging hardware. Moving products also need the assembled structure shown clearly enough to check its intended movement.

Production checks

Check the product while the order is being made.

Initial production output is compared with the working specification before the order proceeds through the full run. Checks during production focus on the features created by that process: enamel or printed areas, exposed metal, finish, assembly and attachment placement.

The inspection point follows the product. A hard enamel surface is not assessed in the same way as recessed soft enamel, sculpted metal, printed artwork or a moving assembly. The accepted specification defines what the finished item is meant to be.

Final inspection

100% Final Inspection Before Packing

Every finished piece is visually inspected before packing. The inspection checks the features relevant to the approved product rather than claiming that every product shares the same construction.

AppearanceShape, visible enamel or print, metal surfaces and obvious damage
Finish and colorVisible finish direction and color or print against the approved reference
AssemblyJoined components and moving structures where applicable
AttachmentPosts, clutches, rings, magnets, ribbons or other approved hardware
PackagingPacking condition, included accessories and presentation requirement
QuantityOrder and packing quantities checked before shipment coordination
Before shipment

Separate pieces that do not match the approved specification.

Non-conforming pieces are separated for rework or replacement before final packing. Only approved pieces proceed to the completed packing stage.

This workflow does not replace product-specific decisions made earlier in the order. Use the artwork and ordering guides to define the reference that inspection will follow.
